Expectations changings from Symbicort to Asmanex?

My maintenance medication was recently changed from Symbicort 160/4.5 once a day to Asmanex HFA 200mcg due to high blood pressure and heart rate issues with the Symbicort.

I'm on day 3 now and ever since I started Asmanex I've been experiencing a productive and incessant cough. The coughing is worse immediately after using the Asmanex. Additionally, it doesn't seem like the Asmanex is as effective as controlling my other asthma symptoms (chest tightness, noctural waking) as the Symbicort was.

Is the cough a symptom that the Asmanex is not working or is making things worse?
Will Asmanex take longer to begin working? Should I give it more time?
Does anyone have advice or suggestions on what to expect when changing from one maintenance treatment to another?

Thank you!
