Flu

I was told by my sons asthma specialist that he may have the flu. 1st day fever 100.8, chills, headache, stomach ache. 2nd day VERY mild symptons. 3rd day got cough with burning in lungs but no fever. Now he seems fine. I'm not sure if I should keep him out of school again or go to doctors?

Going to the doctor will not accomplish anything. If he is coughing he should NOT be going to school. "Interference with his normal activities" should be an irrelevant consideration. If he is coughing he is spreading the virus. A cough supressenat should be administered. Better to err on the side of caution and give another day of rest at home. Nothing at school is that important.

If he doesn't have a fever for 24 hours, then he is able to go back to school. Unless his coughing is preventing him from doing his normal activities.
