Hi suzy550,
I just read your comments. I agree with Tammy's suggestion to talk to
your regular family doctor about your risk in participating in an asthma
study, especially as the study lasts 17 weeks. This is also a medication
you've never taken before, you don't know how effective it will be.
You also don't know if your body can tolerate this new medication.
I has asthma and I'm on certain medications to help me keep my asthma
under control. Personally, I would never agree to participate in such a study. I would feel like they were trying to use me like a guinea pig.
Ultimately, it's your decision, but I would definitely discuss this asthma
study with your doctor and ask him or her if you would be a good candidate for this asthma study and what are any potential risks. Good luck. Eve :)
You would want to talk to your doctor for your specific risk in partaking. Singulair is a asthma medication but there are other health issues that will affect how safe it is for you to try it.
