The meds are helping a little bit. It feels like they're taking a bit longer to work than I want them to. I took my last prednisone earlier this afternoon. I've been using my inhaled corticosteriod med religiously. The cough/expectorant syrup she gave me also helps a little bit. it just feels like it's taking longer than I want it to.
I am glad that you got to see your doctor quickly. I am praying that you medication starrts working quickly and you get to feeling better soon.
I just got a flow peak meter yesterday. And yes, it does put me in the yellow zone. Dr. gave me a long acting inhaler as well. She put me on prednisone for a short period of time. Tonight I used my peak flow meter and it only went up to 300
It is nice to have a place like this to vent some times. This is a very frustrating diease that can control our lives if we let it.
Do you have an action plan? Using your inhaler that much would be classified as "increased use of inhaler" on a plan which would put you in the "Yellow Zone". When you are in the "Yellow Zone" you are to increase certain meds per doctor's orders. Usually this calls for round the clock use of your inhaler at certain time intervals.
I pary that you get to feeling better ssoon.
Have a blessed New Year.
