Should I go to the hospital or trust my doctor?

Almost 2 full days ago I started having an asthma attack and had no methods of transportation, communication, or medication so it went untreated for 8 or 9 hours. I drove myself to the urgent care and told them about the attack and how I was having some pain at the end of my breath. They put me on a nebulizer for 10 minutes and it did not fully improve, and I told them I could not take a full, deep breath and I still had pain. The doctor said I would be fine because I still had enough blood oxygen and prescribed me an emergency inhaler, conditional inhaler, and montelukast to take in tandem with my allergy pill to make sure this wont continue and it doesn't happen again. Well it's one day after I began my meds and I still can't breathe fully and I'm still in pain in my upper chest and throat. Should I trust the doc or should I go to the hospital? I want to believe that this will improve over time but I also know that hospitalization due to respiratory failure is not on my bucket list.
