It could be asthma, it could be something else.  Asthma can be linked to allergies or not.  You have to remember too that allergic reactions are not always instant.

If you get short of breath every time you excerise then it could be a type of asthma called excerise induced asthma.  It can be tested through a stress test where they test your lung volume before and after a run on a treadmill/bike.

Respiratory symptoms can also due to prolonged inactivity, heart/circulatory problems , anixety and many other causes.

Since many of the causes can be serious it is necessary you see a doctor, I know it ***** because I HATE seeing doctors too but you feel much better after you have someone figuring out what is going on.

Hi,

Has your doctor prescribed any meds for you ?  I'm not a doctor, but find that if my albuterol inhaler helps, then it's due to asthma or asthma like inflammation.  I'm sure Tammy will also respond a bit later when she reads your post.

Could it have been allergic reaction to something on the trip?  Something around you, you touched or ate?  Just a thought.

C~
