Hello and hope you are doing well.

The normal spirometry values are FVC-80-120% and FEV-80-120%. Also, FEV1/FVC ratio, is a calculated ratio used in the diagnosis of obstructive and restrictive diseases. The report states there is small airway obstruction, which could be due to Asthma, hence you have been initiated on Ventolin. You may need a follow up spirometry, to see for changes in the lung function tests. You can also do steam inhalations prior to your meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Ventolin is a rescue inhaler, it is used when you have asthmatic episodes. For prevention steroid inhalers are effective. For Prevention Steroid inhalers are used regularly for prevention of attacks. The steroid content is very low in an inhaler and only acts locally. Use will prevent the causative allergens from triggering an attack. Repeated cold with nasal blockage can trigger attacks. Keep the nostrils clear of blockages by using nasal drops. For the steam inhalation you can use eucalyptus oil or you can use just the steam also.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
