help! want to run with my kids

i have been a chronic asthmatic all my life and under a specialist the past year, but im still getting a bad shortness of breath in my chest almost all the time, i use ventolin and flixotide and have been constantly on prednisolne, which has made me gain loads of weight, i feel its allergy related , but can anyone shed some light on this for me? thanks xx

Anytime -- glad to help .. two of my children have been asthmatics for a very long time coupled with severe allergies.

i think an allergist is the next step i just cant out a finger on whats causing it to go bad its just horrible! thanks for the advice very much apprecaited! x

Hi .. have you been to an allergist?  Do you have any thoughts on what you may be allergic to?  You may be very right bcz sometimes once the allergin is removed the asthma can get better.  Have they considered what is called in the States Singulair at all ?  It's a asthma prevention med aimed at blocking the leukatrins and works oftentimes with allergy driven asthma or RAD (reactive airway disease).
