hi the doctor put  my husband on pholcodine 5mg linctus and told him it wasent his asthma that was making him cough but he is still coughing  do you think he is right ? thanks ... mary

thank you all .sad to say that jimmys sister died last night and his asthma is bad need to take him to the hospital thank you all .... mary

If your husband's cough is dry i.e. without significant expectoration, then your doctor is right in prescribing pholcodine.
