prednisone blues
I have been on prednisone for 1 month now, 5 days of IV solumedrol and now i'm on a maintenance of 80mg of pred. I'm having severe side effects and don't know how to deal with them.
*leg swelling
*night sweats
*severe mood swings
*uncontrolled hunger
*severe body pain
any advice on how to cut down on some of the symptoms?

If you're having any and especiall -all- of those symptoms, something isn't right and you should probably talk to the doctor about switching medications.
Have you talked with your doctor about this? Perhaps there is something else the doc can prescribe instead of prednisone.
If not I know there are several herbs that can be made into teas or poultices that might help with those symptoms, just check to make sure that they are safe with prednisone.
