Hi and welcome to the community.
Some thoughts from a fellow chronic cougher ;-)
Taking an expectorant like guaifenesen is very helpful. It thins any mucous so that it comes out more easily. Be sure to drink plenty of water with it as that also helps to thin mucous.
Also, a sinus rinse and antihistamine will help control post nasal drip that is most likely contributing to your asthma and cough.
Make sure that you are following GERD life style protocols as well. The life style modifications suggested for GERD patients make a huge difference in controlling the respiratory symptoms it can cause.
You didn't mention it, so I doubt this is your problem, but another thing to consider is any heart medications you may be on. Beta blockers are well known for causing chronic cough. Other heart conditions and medications can cause chronic cough as well.
If you don't get relief from the cough with continued use of the Advair and Aciphex, you may want to see an allergist. They are better trained to treat chronic cough. Some things you may want to try at that point are different medications specifically Dulera or Symbicort instead of the Advair and adding allergy medications and nasal sprays. Allergy testing and shots may be needed as well.
Finding the cause of the cough is essential to bringing it under control.
Please don't hesitate to ask additional questions. I am glad to help in anyway I can. I know it is a rough road.
God bless.
Hi,

You might have chronic bronchitis,it may be due to allergic or some times due to eosinophilia.
