I can completely understand the video game thing, I was like that for a long time, thank you, that explains it =) I never really was able to find anything clear.

Personally, I am going to go out on a limb and thank my mother and father, I can get along pretty well with anybody, I told my teacher I had aspergers in high school and she told me I was lying.

Hi there,

Asperger's doesn't really "do" anything.  It is considered part of the Autism Spectrum Disorders.  It affects social behavior and could also have some sensory issues along with it.  It is a "less severe" form of autism, if that makes sense.  A person with it may not have the speech issues or the stimming issues but may have a hard time socially or dealing with people.

ADD/ADHD often goes along with it.  My son has both.  Hyper focus means you can focus for one thing for a very long time, in spite of the ADD/ADHD.  My son can do this with video games.  However, getting him to focus on homework or even eating his dinner is a struggle.

I hope this helps.  Good luck!
