Speech

My son is 27 months old. I'm very worried about him. He only says about ten words that we can understand. I'm trying everything I can to get him
To talk. I think he understands what I say because if I ask him to get me a nappy, get me your shoes he does.
He is a happy toddler who smiles cuddles and kisses.
He point at stuff when he wants something or drags you to whatever he wants.
Can anyone give me any advice.
Thanks

Btw, getting a birth to three person can help with speech. He should qualify for speech therapy which does not mean he has autism.

If he points and the little language he does have makes sense, he is probably ok. Is he your first? Sometimes having other kids around can help.

Everything you describe does not sound like autism as I know it at all. My son did none of those things except the speech but it was more of echolalia rather than conversational.
