yeah, just wait and re-test. But any additional therepy in the meantime speech therepy or OT / PT or whatever can't hurt. These are such formatve years.
thats exactly what i was saying. they were trying to get her to do stuff, and she wouldn't.she could preform most of the activities, but she already wasn't feeling well she hadnt got the surgery yet, she was on meds, and wasn't comfortable in that tiny room (neither was i), and because she didn't they just wrote if off that she couldn't, not listening to a word i said.
temp diagnosis? wtf? I guess she couldn't hear so more testing is needed . That's not a diagnosis. What you need to do is just sit ttght and let the physical stuff heal and then look at develomental stuff. I don't do too well on tests at school when I have a flu or fever.
what i can i do to work with her?
I went through the whole biz with the ear testing, infections, and tubes... I've been told the tubes caused perminant damage too...
Autism is not a temp diagnosis as far as I know. It sounds like your doctor is insecure about diagnosing?? Autism is a lifelong condtion, regardless of what people say. There is no cure either, but there are ways to work with autism, and some people improve over time, like I have. Even so there's always the autism to work with.
