what wrong with our 7 year old

we dont know whats wrong with our 7 year old. she doesnt understand basic common sense. her teacher told us she has a learning disablitly but we think it goes beyond that. she doesnt understand simple question that we ask her. and when her mom cries she show not emotion and just goes on like a normal day we need help

how is her speech? can she talk and carry a conversation with her friends (girls of her age)? does she have friends?  maybe she has autism or maybe not. if she has good conversation and social skills with her peers and has two or three close friends of her age, she probably does not have autism.  You do need to get her evaluated by a child psychologist or child development doctor. Maybe she has a learning disability and she is overwhelmed with her struggle.  Get her the help that she needs.  Are you in Northern California? Have you talked to your pediatrician? Your daughter's Dr. can refer you to a child psychologist or a team of therapists to evaluate your daughter. Also, try the website

they have lists of signs and advice.
