michelle here thank you i will do that i get told if i dont time my self my routine is off and slow for the rest of the day idont like getting told what to do i take thiongs the wrong way also i will do my best .i often get told what i do isnt good enough for my son etc and makes me feel bad
Thank you for sharing . Use the fixations for good. Temple Grandin advised me to do that with my child years ago....no reason why adults can't either :-))
Setting time limits (using timer if necessary so there is a physical way of being reminded). With food, being careful with what you buy (quantity and type) to limit if given to excess eating. There are always ways to work with this. Remember that nature abhors a vacumn so getting rid of something means something will take its place.
I happen to think that intensity can be used in meaningful ways such as problem-solving...it is a matter of direction and balance.
Have you read about the ways others deal with such challenges? I don't know if you have an advisor--Doctor. The professionals are the ones who diagnose OCD and/or Autism (Spectrum related also).
