this drug has been recalled a few times over the years for various reasons so I have been hesitant to let my daughter use it. Instead we use melatonin and weighted blankets (along with consistent schedule) to help her sleep. She has autism and it is hard for her to sleep. If you are interested in melatonin talk to your doctor. Your body produces it naturally and it is a supplement.

Hi!
Well, seizures are one of the side effects of risperdal and can occur any time after starting the medication. However, if they have started after eight years of medications, other causes too should be looked into. You may need an EEG. Please consult your doctor regarding this immediately. Take care!
