3 autu- immune diseases at once?

My daughter is 36yrs old. She was first diagnosed with Alopecia around age 14. Last year she was diagnosed with Sarcoid. Now this yr. she has been diagnosed with MS. Is this possible?  I can find nothing written about having 3 auto- immune diseases at the same time. She is now waiting for an appointment at Johns Hopkins with a Sarcoid specialist. She is getting worse and treatment is not helping her.  Mollydox7

So sorry to hear the diagnosis of MS. If you haven't already, please do come visit the MS forum here at medhelp. It's a great bunch of people who are really really supportive and helpful!

Good luck to your daughter and you!

So sorry to hear.  I will be hoping it is not advanced and that they can get the disease under control.

Just got word from Elaine. The Dr's. have confirmed MS. Now they are going to send her to Duke University for a bx of a muscle in her leg. They are trying to find out why she is having such extreme pain. They told her that they want to see how much muscle damage has been done. She goes back to her Dr's in two weeks. Then she will be given a date for the bx. Again, Thanks to all.  Mollydox2

Good luck ! I know on the Marshall Protocol, they've discussed people who originally had a "lupus" diagnosis (with all of the positive labs and everything) and then ended up with a sarcoidosis diagnosis. They discuss how this happens, etc.  Anyhow... Dr. Trevor Marshall saved his own life with the Marshall Protocol. He discovered the role bacteria played in sarcoidosis, as well as all of these "autoimmune" diseases. I'll keep trying to find that link... at least you will know that you are not alone and that there are possible explanations for this happening (and that some people are seeing this pattern as well !).

It's possible to have many AI "diseases".  If the underlying condition is not resolved, more and more can surface.  The problem is that the medical professionals never look for the problem, only treat the symptoms.

Unfortunately some of us are very susceptible to auto-immune diseases.  I had ulcerative colitis, hypothyroidism and now Lupus.  I hope she can get some answers and relief soon.

I've heard of two other sarcoidosis patients on the Marshall Protocol who have had this happen to them.  If I can find a link... I'll zip it your way.

Best to you and your daughter,
