Autoimmune Thyroid

I had a extreamly large substernal thyroid goiter removed a few weeks ago.  They found an incendental papillary cancer, and I'm scheduled for another surgery to remove the rest of the thyroid.  When I asked the surgeon what caused this very large goiter, she said it was probably an autoimmune issue.  Just wondering what the "issue" could be, and should I be tested for other autoimmune disorders.

Thanks!

From what I have read thyroid problems have been associated with Graves disease.  Cancer is associated with toxins in our enviroment.  You might want to get a book on Natural Healing which will tell you what vitamins and supplements you should take to help with your problem.  Juicing has shown success in treating cancer.  You might want to consider a diet high in raw fruits and vegetables to give your body the nutrients it needs to heal itself.  Google words like juicing and natural healing and you might get information which could help you.  Good Luck.
