Can people that had GBS donate blood?

I am scheduled to donate blood tomorrow. I would like to know if it is ok to donate blood. I was diagnosed with GBS in 2005 and I almost completely recovered from it. The only symptom left is that my skin gets extremely sensitive to extreme temperature changes like very cold temperatures. The skin feels extra sensitive to touch so i just have to wait until the temperature gets back to normal and then I am ok again. Please let me know if donating blood is ok. Thanks

Hi ! You are going to have to contact the blood center where you are planning on donating and either speak with the pathologist or the head nurse and ask them.

Good luck !
