I don't personally know the answer to this, but my mom take a B-12 shot once a week. Her PC prescribes it to her.
Feeling shakey could be a low blood sugar. Have they checked that?
I also have a B12 deficiency and also get the B12 shot once a month. I've been getting the shot for about 7 months. First, I had to get the shot once a day for 4 days and then once a week for 4 weeks and then once a month. I also don't feel much improvement. I pretty much get shaky almost every morning and when I found out I had this deficiency, I thought maybe that's why I was getting shaky because I read that's one of the symptoms. But, I've been taking the shot for 7 months now and I'm still getting shaky. I did mention to my dr. that it doesn't seem like it's helping much and I also asked if I needed more or more often and he said no, you can't get anymore than what I'm taking now. So, I kind of dropped it thinking that maybe something else is causing me to get shaky. So, he sent me for an EEG to see for seizure activity and that was normal, so he then sent me for a video EEG but have not heard the results for this yet. Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I'm having the same problem, so I thought I would comment. I would also like to know the answer to Paepoe's question. So, if anyone has the answer, it would be very helpful.
