Could it be more than just Hashi's?

I am an active 29 year old female weighing 110 lbs.  When I was 14 years old, I began getting canker sores quite frequently. At the time, this was my only symptom.  About 3 years ago, along with the canker sores, I would get neck aches & fatigue, and this would occur about one week out of the month.   Based on a CT scan, the ENT determined I had a deviated septum and some sinus issues so I had sinus surgery (septoplasty and turbinate reduction) in April '09 and felt quite well for months after that.  Out of the blue, around Sept of '09, I started experiencing chronic sinus symptoms (predominately post nasal drip and mucous in the back of the throat) 24/7.  In addition are the neck aches, fatigue and canker sores.  I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's as my Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies blood test came back at an elevated 132.  I am absolutely miserable and most days do not leave the house due to feeling so poorly.  Does anyone think there could be more there beside Hashi's that better explains my symptoms or could all of my symptom's align with Hashi's?  I just started my first day on Synthroid, at a low does of .25 mg.  My TSH level is normal at 3.23 so the doctor is saying that my thyroid has not yet been affected - but if this is the case, why do I feel so bad??  My T3, Total is normal at 107 and my T4 (Thyroxine) is normal at 8.8.  The only other elevated figure from my blood test results is the Cortisol (AM), which is high at 24.7 (I took the test at noon).  Any comments/suggestion are much appreciated!

You may want to ask the endocrinologist about Lupus as a lot of your symptoms sound similar to my uncle who was diagnosed.  A main symptom of Lupus is a butterfly rash that extends across the bridge of the nose and cheeks and will intensify with sun exposure.  I have read that there is no precise test for Lupus and that is is better diagnosed based on symptoms.  Concerning the canker sores, I read that these are related to autoimmune disorders involving antibody formation.

I hope you find out what's wrong with you, hang in there!

I was diagnoised with hypothyroid 10 yrs ago.It took a long time to get my Synthroid dose at a level that was right for me.Up till then I had always been active, gym 4 days a week, treadmill at home etc.The thyroid thing hit like a ton of bricks. It was all I could do to get out of the bed and shower.I really hope you feel better soon.
When I finally started taking the right dose,I was able to resume most of my previous activities. And was doing fairly well untill 2 yrs ago,at which time I started to develop joint pain.My back will hurt, the pain will go away only to return in another area.Im tierd alot, get canker sores, and have developed a blister like rash on my face(horrible)Im going to ask my internist to send me to a specialist.I dont know if this is in any way related to my thyroid,as all my blood work comes back within normal ranges.I used to be so active,I feel like Iam no longer myself.I hate this.Iam 51 and feel alot older.By the way I eat a healthy diet, and weigh110.I sympathize with you.

If you are looking for something to try google "oil pulling".  It is a traditional Indian folk remedy used to detoxify the body.  The toxins in our enviroment are responsible for the many autoimmune diseases we see today.  The Paleo diet has shown success treating autoimmune diseases.  Healing comes from within and if you give the body the vitamins and minerals it needs it can repair itself.
