Dobbie So Sick
Is everything being done for 4 yo Dobbie. To new vet after dark brown bloody urination. Very low Hemat. No infection Temp was 101. Dexameth IV and Pred 50 mg daily starts tomorrow. Adv no Aspirin and Trans likely no help now. Any ideas? Dx IMH Anemia.

We did what we could to help him recover. Please be aware that several dogs succumb to IMHA. Cody joined the other sufferers last night. My son was with him and made the needed decision. Cody was a wonderful loving Doberman.

Cody, our Doberman has IMHA meaning self destructive anemia, He had his transfusion today as the red count did not improve though he is remaining
somewhat active. Very pleasant all the time! Ill 2 days!
Trying iron and antihistamine and fresh food today. Thank you everyone for reading my note. This disease is awful but at least it may be a swift way

I can't be any help, just remember reading that Dobermans are prone to kidney disease.
