Does this sound like autoimmune disorder?

Hi all, I am pretty convinced after doing research that I have an autoimmune disorder. I have previously been to GP's in the past and a neurologist and they basically prescribed beta blockers and horrible anti-depressants, which gave me side effects and didn't treat me anyway so I gave up seeking medical help and have basically been putting up with pain for a long time.

My symptoms are: chronic pain in neck, head, jaw, back, shoulders, legs, hips etc. Basically the only places that don't hurt are my hands, ears, nose! The pain is in the muscle, tendons, ligaments and joints. This has been going on for 23 years and getting worse. Headaches, low blood pressure, fatigue, inability to sleep (wake many times during the night and have trouble getting to sleep) tiredness, recurring skin abcesses (had 4 pilonidal abcesses aged 14 resulting in massive infection which may have triggered this all off) , PSOC, ovarian dermoid cyst and simple cysts, breast cysts, numbness in fingers and toes when cold and they turn white, IBS, infertility. I had a period of relatively pain free for 3 years out of the the 23, but then it is back with vengence.

Can anyone give me any advice?

Many thanks

The first thing that comes to mind is fibromyalgia.  The most important thing in that, if that is what you have, is sleep.  It's amazing what really good sleep can do for you.  Everybody seems to have their own take on how to get better sleep.  I take a benadryll and a melatonin.  I hate putting chemicals in my body, but my body needs sleep in order to feel better.  There are many things out there, but be careful.  Some prescription meds can be very addictive.

Have they checked your thyroid?

H i sibel1 read ing your symtoms was a mirror relecting my symtoms which I suffered for six years. I was lucky enough do discover what was causing my illness.
I was being exposed to fumes from faulty boiler and cooker. I am not suggesting that you are but toxins have a terrible effect on our immune system. I have been dianoised with Raynauds because my hands go deathly white and I have burning and numbness in hands and toes. My eyes and mouth are dry and hvae Linchen planus in mouth another autoimmun problem. I may have sjogrens I attented the Lupus clinic in London if you can go there they will get to the bottom of it. My GP thinks I am in early stages of MS now the fatigue comes in waves. I have had 3 ovarian cyst removed and have had a strep infection in abdomen and adhesions. I have a low White Cell Count which is always common when the immune system is low. Remember you can turn this a My skin has many strange rashes that also come in flares. Keep a diary of your symtoms see if there is a pattern you have to be responsible for your own body the GPs dont have the time to treat you holisticly they only deal with each symtom and prescribe seperatly. I have come on better lately I live with only electric heating and eat organic and walk every day circulation is the key. Dont take any nonsense from the GP its your body and only you know that something is wrong.  take care tater

The problems we have with our bodies are a result of what we put in our bodies.  Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, said "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food".  He understood that all healing was done by the body and if you give the body what it needs it can repair itself.  In my life time the food we eat has changed significantly from what we use to eat.  We are not making the healthy choices in our diets today so the body does not have the vitamins and minerals it needs to repair itself.  Google Joel Fuhrman and he has a video on line called Eat to live.  It will explain to you the connection between diet and health.  You can make yourself healthy by what you eat.  If you want a quick way of getting the body started check out natural supplements you can take.  Get a book on Nutritional Healing which will explain what you can take to improve your health.  Only you can make yourself healthy and it all is about what you put in your body.  Give it a try.
