Good Luck Nellie.
I hope it your symptoms start to dismiss, then you will see the real benefits of the Plaquenil.
It can take some time , though so persevere, if you can do. But check out the problems with the consultant.

Good Luck

Hi.
I take Plaquenil also, and yes it is a common side affect, the nausea, and loss off appetite.

I would speak to the consultant if this is worrying you, just to confirm that this is a side-effect.

But once the Plaquenil gets to start working, and this can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks, you will probably be grateful off its benefits.
It has helped me greatly with joint pain, and fatigue, but i suppose everyone is different.

Good Luck.
