Help!!! I am scared and the docotors are stumped!

Whomever reads this thank you for taking the time, and any insight you can give is appreciated.  Until June of this year I was a very healthy, athletic 33 year old male, with no prior health issues.  In May of this year I was bitten by something and got a rash shortly there after.  My intial doctor told me it was a spider bite and gave me some prenidone and the rash went away shortly there after.  About three weeks later I was sealing my deck and I noticed that my left hand began to feel numb, and  attributed it to the excessive pressure I put on it while sealing my deck.  The numbness continued and on the advice of a surgeon friend of mine I had it examined and they determined that it was cubital tunnel.  But shortly there after I began to feel the same tingling and numbness in my right hand. Then it spread to my toes, and my legs began to feel heavy.  I went to the immediate care and they ran blood work and head CT.  Everything came back normal.  The numbess got better and then it came back, got better and came back again for several weeks.  In the later part of July I noticed that I was getting short of breath when I walked up a flight of stairs, or exherted myself in any way.  This was completely abnormal considereing I was biking over 150 miles per week. This got progressively worse and then I began to develop severe knee pain and stiffness along with elbow pain and stiffness. It got so bad and I felt so short of breath my doctor admitted me.  They ran a tick panel, and every tick borne disease came back negative.  My ESR and CRP were normal, and everyother blood test came back normal as well.  I had a Head MRI done - normal.  Cardiac Stress test done - normal.  Echocardiogram - normal.  Pulmonary function tests - showed some lung restricition.  I followed up with a pulmonologist and had a lung CT done and showed a walking pnuemonia.  I began to take Doxycyclene for the pnuemonia which cleared up very quickly, however my stomach is extremely torn up now. Three weeks after that episode I began to devlop severe headaches, dissiness, fatigue, muscle weakness, and my previous symptoms came back with a vengance ( joint pain, heavy legs, shortness of breath).  I was admitted again because I nearly fell asleep at the wheel driving home from work.  I had to pull over and my wife came and picked up and took me to the ER.  We started the test all over again, ran another tick panel - everything came back normal. ESR, CRP normal.  Did a test for polymyositis - came back negative. HIV test came back negative. Epstein Barr titer showed high but that it was IGG and therefore an old infection. Pulmonary function test was normal this time.  Another lung CT - all normal.  While I was in the hospital I had an episode where it felt like my heart was fluttering.  They did and EKG and found that there was a right bundle branch block. My heart rate is usually somewhere between 58 and 64.  During this little episode my heart rate was 46 bpm.  That had never happened before.  Doctors told me it was nothing to be concrened about.  They treated me again with some IV rocephan and prednisone and I did feel better for a brief period of time.  Now all my symptoms are back again. Joint pain, numbess & tingling, heache, dizziness - light headed, shortness of breath, muscle weakness, and now feeling of a fluttering heart.  I am desperate. I am not making this up, I do not have anxiety, and my wife is just as concerned as I am.  I just want my life to go back to normal, so I can play with my kids, and spend time with my wife, instead of feeling sick all the time.  Please someone help me!

Hello, sounds like a great idea to me, thanks! I'll have to start doing that with our fruits and veggies. I'm a terrible binge eater because sometimes during the month I can't eat for several days in a row and I already only weigh 100 lbs, not good. The most has been 11 days and I got down to 96. When I can eat, I eat everything I can get my hands on and eat til I look like I'm 9 months pregnant, lol. Processed foods, junk, you name it and I eat it to try and get my weight back up before my next spell. I have problems with my blood sugar and it's not uncommon at all for me to grab food off the shelves at the grocery store and eat while I'm shopping. Not hypoglycemic, so they say, just get really sick and mean if I get hungry and can't eat within a matter of minutes. I completely agree with the eating organic and things from nature, everything at the stores anymore is just awful! I take large doses of liquid Vitamin C with quercetin and bioflavenoids to boost my immune system and help keep my histamine levels down. This is only when I can because all vitamine C, even buffered, tear my stomach up. Working on getting my gall bladder out to see if that will correct a lot of my stomach problems. They gotta do something quick! I'm on so many supplements to be functional and have quality of life, they do work miracles but the expense kills us and I can't always have what I need. What's really bad is that the docs know what's wrong with me, tested, diagnosed, and being treated (naturally). They think that I continuously refuse drugs because I don't want help which is not the case. I am severely allergic to most chemicals and almost all drugs and am scared to death to try any others with the damage they've already done to me before being diagnosed. Soooo, they are not very nice to me and treat me like I'm crazy. Last doctor saw me for gall bladder and tried to give me antidepressants for pain. CAN NOT take antidepressants because the cause serotonin syndrome (fatal and marked in my records). They don't even read my records, listen to me, they just want to drug me. My new GI seems promising and since I'm in remission from my hormone allergy, now my immune system is attacking my gall bladder but no surgeon will remove it unless there is stones or infection showing in tests. It's all just a big mess!

I saw a Dr. Oz show which suggested if you cannot eat organic a good way to wash your vegetables is with vinegar and baking soda.  If you soak things such as spinach or strawberries in a solution of vinegar and baking soda it can remove many of the toxins.  Vingegar and baking soda are not very expensive so might want to give it a try.  The vitamin I feel which is most important in getting rid of free radicals in the body is vitamin C.  I take at least 3 grams a day but many take more.  With most of the autoimmune diseases it is recommended even in larger amounts.  For tolerance testing when you have exceeded the amount the body will tolerate you will see diarrhea.  Vitamin C is water soluable so it is best to spread the dose out through out the day.  That way your body always has some in it.  I have a book titled "Natural Healing" which explains the supplements which can help with these autoimmune diseases.  Sorry you have not have success with the Doctors but if they can't find out what is wrong with you their answer seems to be it is all in your head.  With me the answer was it is just getting old.  Pain is real.  We were not made to be sick and the only thing making us sick today is the toxins which are all around us.  The foods which nature has made is what we should be eating.  That is what the body needs to be healthy.  Chemicals in process foods are making us sick.  That is apparent in the Obesity problem that is all around us.  Wish you the best in finding the correct road to healing your body.

I agree with wantobik. I'm seriously autoimmune and do get a great deal of relief when I do a detox program, colon cleanse, and eat organic/ healing foods. Only problem is how much it costs to stick with these programs and the amount of weight I lose. I feel great but end up having weight issues due to constant high histamine and malabsorption issues. I take Eniva Vibe liquid vitamin (pill form doesn't do much at all) which works wonders, detox programs, and many healing natural suppelments which controls my autoimmunity for the most part. I could probably actually cure myself completely if I could afford to eat organic, take healing supplements to repair years of damage, and keep all the junk out of my body. Because constant exposure to chemicals/hormones in foods, skin care, junk in our water, medications, etc. I am allergic to just about everything including my own hormones which is controlled by phytoestrogens from plants. Docs can no longer help me and don't really even know what to do with me except treat me badly.

All these neurological problems have similiar sympthoms.  The key is to find the causes and eliminate them.  I suffered from dizziness, double vision episodes, tingling in my arms, dead spots in my fingers and toes, nausea, couldn't sleep, pains in my stomach, pains in my elbows, bronchittus, muscle spasms in my back, and a tired feeling that is impossible to discribe.  My last trip to the emergency room they thought I had a stroke but couldn't find any evidence of it with their test.  One of the doctors testing me suggested I showed signs of MS in my lower body.  I knew nothing about this disease so I googled it and because of my age did not fit the profile for MS.  I found Dr. Swanks website which presents a diet to treat MS.  The "Paleo Diet" also claims to have success treating these neurological diseases.  I started Dr. Swanks diet but it didn't show much improvement in my condition  My primary care physican suggested it was just old age and I would have to learn to live with it.  I started googling the sympthoms I had to see if I could find out other causes.  Mercury can cause these symptoms.  My cause was the many amalgam(mercury) fillings and root canals I had in my mouth.  I followed a detoxification program and all my sympthoms went away.  I got my teeth taken care of and have never felt better.  For the last 2 years I have not had so much as a cold.  These disease are caused by what you put in your body.

I got a book on Nurtitional Healing and have tried to eat as healthy as possible.  I spent 60 years eating things like hydogenated oils, aspartane, MSG, HFCS, and many of the man made chemicals in this process food.  I now live a life style of eating raw fruits and vegetables which gives my body the vitamins and minerals which it needs to repair itself.  Read the labels on back of the process foods you eat and see if you feel the chemicals they list are good for the body.  I remember when I was young and food use to spoil.  The food processors have found chemicals to keep the food fresh.  What that means is the chemicals kill the bad bacteria that cause the food to spoil.  You get enough of these chemicals in your body they will make you very sick.  I know from experience.  You should examine anything you put in your body.  I am sure you realize all the drugs people are taking today have side effects.  Some lawyer may be able to get you alot of money when the drug makes you sick.  When you put bad things in your body your body must get rid of them.  If you get too much of the bad stuff in your body you get sick.  I would examine everything in the enviroment and make sure there are not toxins around you.  Maybe watch Dr. Oz and he can explain it better than me.  He has alot of good points but I don't believe everything he says.  When it comes to the flu shot he gets it.  Think he gets it because as a medical professional he has to.  Come to find out his wife and children do not get the ful shot.  Thermisel is the preservative they use in the flu shot and that is mercury.   If you keep your body healthy you should not get the flu and you get enough mercury in your body you will get very sick.  Most people are looking for an easy solution.  Take this drug and everything will be Ok.  Being healthy today is not easy.  Hippocrates the father of western said "Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food".  Think he knew what he was talking about.

Hi
You are having a bad time as this sounds like it is widespread to me, and affecting a few body systems.

Please ask your doctor for some auto-immune testing. Simple bloodtests.
But also ask to be tested for APS.

Your symptoms sound  very much, like what i have been suffering with for 12 years, finally, i have got Anti-phospolipid syndrome.
It can cause shortness of breath, muscle weakness, jointpain, and also the numbness and tingling.and dizziness.

Ask your doctor to test you for ACL, and LA, which are simple blood tests to diagnose Anti-phospolipid syndrome.

I hope this has helped, and i would ask to be tested as soon as.,if i was you.

Good luck
Nicola
