RA testing

I was told you can still have RA without the RA panel showing.  Is this true to anyone's knowledge, and is that what sero-negative RA is??

I agree.  I have RA but my RF is negative.  I do test highly positive for Cyclic Citrullinated Pep IgG.  It is supposed to be highly specific for RA.  That is how I got the diagnosis.  (had the symptoms, but took an actual test to finally be positive to get a dx).  Hope it helps,

Yes it is true.  I am constantly being tested for RA and Lupus.  I am positive one time and negative another.  They can't decide if I have one or the other or both although a lot of my symptoms point to Lupus.  I'm not sure what the sero-negative means but makes sense.
