Hi again siam2009.

Your PCP could put you on a starting dose of Armour as a trial, and take it from there. Your symptoms definitely warrant this.
Medicine was practiced this way in the past, before these fancy tests came about, when now it seems that the patient is almost ignored.

You could ask either doctor to order the 2 Hashi's tests.
This way you could have it ruled out or ruled in, so in the latter, they would
likely treat you according to the established treatment guidelines.

Don't forget, that by doing the temperature test, you will have a solid indication of your thyroid function. Just follow the simple online instructions.

Nowadays, it is like an epidemic, with many people getting undiagnosed or undertreated for hypothyroid and this leads to many serious conditions, when  there's prolonged organ involvement.

I wish you well.

Hi LightSeeker..I am just so very tired, very, very dry skin, weight gain..I've had the other tests done back in Oct. and they were normal..this is the lowest the TSH reflex has every been, its has been 0.31, but never lower..my ENT wanted me started on meds, but pcp said no and that was last year..I'll have to ask again to have the regular thyroid tests done, but I don't think he will..maybe I should see and Endo?  I think he feels thyroid is working, but having a Hashi's moment..lol  I do have nodules and that's 1 of the reasons my ENT wanted me on meds to shrink them, but no from pcp..any  thoughts..Thanks

For Hashimotos diagnosis  I would ask for anti-TG antibodies and Anti-TPO
testing and for Hypothyroidism in general Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3 for accurate thyroid hormone function, not just serum levels

Your doctor cannot establish thyroid function with just the tests  you posted, but nonetheless, the results point to low thyroid function.
It is common at some stages of Hashi's to experience hyper symptoms, however, this is usually only temporary until hypo symptoms come back  again.
Many hypo patients dose according to their symptoms and sometimes according to temperature (check out Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature Test online), since frequent consulting with the doctor is just not practical.

What other symptoms have you been experiencing?
