I have had morphea scleroderma for decades now and Raynaud's is present in something like 80% of scleroderma patients.
But of course, I also have another autoimmune condition that's damaging my thyroid, so who knows where the source is?
Anyway it's my guess that raynaud's accompanies many other autoimmune conditions. Fortunately mine is usually mild, but that's only because I live in Southern California and avoid air conditioning! :)
Hi,
I dont have hashimotos, but i do have graves disease which is a autoimmune thyroid disease., and i suffer with raynauds, cold blue fingers and toes.
I have had it years, i have to wear gloves, and socks to stop fingers turning blue.
I also take garlic pills, and they say ginger is good for circulation.
My doctor didnt seem to bothered by this condition,
Sometimes my hands and feet look like they are dead, all blue like ive got no oxygen.
Hope this helps.
I dont know if theres a connection with thyroid and raynauds? ive never checked,
I have also got vitiligo, and alopecia, ever since i got thyroid disease.
I think theres more to thyroid illness than meets the eye, because all my other conditions came with the thyroid disease.
Take care
Nicola
PS, if you have any tips, i would love to share them with you.
