Henloch Schonlein Purpura (HSP)

Has anyone heard of HSPurpura-I think it is Heinloch Schnlolein Purpura?  My 5 year old was diagnosed with it in August of 2008.  I don't see it listed as one of the autoimmune disorders and it is such a terrifying one!  We finally found something to help and he is fine now, but I wonder how many other people have it and can't find help?

My daughter at 11I yrs old was diagnosed with HSP .....no known cause at the beginning symptoms I really thought she was attacked by a virus at the movie theaters because she had sat on the floor way in the back wall and leaving the theater is were her symptoms started quickly.  She was never sick of anything before. Its been a horrible thing to live through especially when there is no cure only let ride out for a whole month and aleve. My daughters case when I took her to Phoenix Childrens Hospital was so far the worse case they had ever witnessed.  I then took her to a Neufrologist were she showed protein in her urine, she had a Renal Biopsy and was started on 80mg of Steroids because of her weight that's how much she had to take and also Cellcept for her immune system. After 6 months she was totally weened off of Prednisone and will continue Cellcept until her one year mark and get another Renal Biopsy done in April.....I would love to know about more parents that have had children that gave suffered with this horrible virus that has left my daughter scarred physically and emotionally for life. I do not wish this on any innocent child!
