newly diagnosed with graves disease

Was originally diagnosed with stress induced anxiety in March and was sent to see a shrink.
went in to Dr last month complaining of hot flashes and he ordered blood work to see if I was in menopause.
Guess what? I have hyperthyroidism. ( was ecstatic at first that I'm not crazy after all) . Am currently on 5mg of methimazole 3 times a day. Causes itching, hives, and welts. Unbearable!
Endo put me on propranolol 10mg twice a day. Caused my hands and feet to be cold and tingling, then my skin became numb all over, especially my face. I reduced my dose to half a tablet twice a day with good results.No I didn't consult the endo.
Had the radioactive iodine uptake scan Monday and Tuesday and waiting for the.results is killing me. The 4 hour scan said 52% the 24 hour scan said 67% .
I had a sono a few weeks ago.and have a goiter,nodules and a cyst on my thyroid.
I went from 146 ponds to 130 pounds in 5months. And I'm 5'5". Can eat my 200 pound husband under the table and still loose weight.
The beta.blocker seems.to help with the extreme tremors I was having from head to toe,so I don't have to take xanax as often. The methimazole is helping and the insomnia is getting better. I only have to use the ambien a couple times a week now.
The uptake scan results scare me so I'm hoping some one here can tel me something.
I'm sorry if none of this makes sense, I'm still having difficulty with focusing, and my brain is so foggy I probably shouldn't be on here at all.
This disease has.caused me to be demoted from an awesome career as an assistant food service manager. No I'm just a food service clerk.
So what do these results mean and what can I expect from here.

I am glad you at least got a physical diagnosis to explain what is going on. It makes you feel crazy when you know what HELL you are going through and it is ALL attributed to anxiety (duh, the body whacking out would make anyone anxious, and then being denied definition drives you crazy). I have some of the similar symptoms you mentioned.  My legs ache when I walk now, but so far nothing showing in tests and yesterday a horrible demeaning NP at the walk in clinic made me feel so low. I hope you improve with your meds. Hang in there.

Forgot  to mention symptoms. Foggy brain,no concentration, increased appetite, weight loss, blurred vision, tension, tremors, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, increased heart rate, dizziness, insomnia,  confusion,memory loss. Eye pain and pressure.
