wow thankyou so much for replying to my question!! i wasnt even aware that a hepatologist might be able to help me.. i have had such a nightmarish time with some doctors.. that i am rady to start giving up.  i just saw an RA.. and all she wanted to do was medicate me.  she told me that due to the fact that i have psoriasis.. i also probably had some type of artharitis due to the psoriasis.. well. then she did x rays.. waited a nice 2 weeks to get back to me..( i had to call HER) and sdh had her MA tell me that ther was nothing wrong with my bones... that she could prscribe soemthing for the pain. and that i was to just deal with it.  I then called back.. and told the secretary that  i would like to pick up my records.. and find someone else. two days later i get a certified letter from her stating that "due to my failure to take pain medications she could no longer be my physician. HA!! this was AFTER i requested my records to go elswhere..lol.

tyhe most recent tests i have had .. were at the heart hospital...my potassium was low... my mag and calcium were on the lower side... my tsh was about 12.8.... i have tested positive for shingles... one day my white blood cell count is 14000.. next day its 7000..   i came out clean for RA... yet my bones hurt really bad.. sometimes.. i cannot walk .  i have really bad headaches.. they last about 3-6 days at a time.. my insurance compnay denied an mri due to the fact that i have not yet tried pain killing therapy.  i have ulcerative colitis and proctitis.. im in and out of remission.. i have severe allergies.. all which have been documented.. i just found out that i have WBC's in my urine.. not sure why.. but they are there... i am not sure if i chousl have another scarn for my bones.. maybe something is going on with my  bones being that i have osteopenia.. my stomach.. well forget it.. thats a lost cause at this point.
i guess i am just pissed really. the RA i saw. she wouldnt even listen... i think i am being stereotyped.  i dress nice. i am clean... i wear make up.. i dont LOOK sick.. people automatically assume at times that if she looks good.. how can she be sick. well.. next time i go to the docs. i am going to dress how i feel.  maybe they wil listen.. even my husband who went with me left shaking his head.. because she just would not listen.. all she wanted to do was medicate me.
the only meds i am on right now is thyroid meds.. (armour thyroid) i take a sleeping pill. .because i have severe insomnia.. , i take extra mag/calcium/potassium.  i take taurine for my aspergers syndrome..( mild autism) .. i also have to take a digestive supplement.. because my body wont digest food anymore... if i idont take it.. it will just sit in my stomach.. and cause very many problems.. when i use the bathroom.there is some blood.. i have gotten used to it.. when i was pregnant.. i felt .. acted.. my body. was AWESOME.
i just dont get it anymore.  why wont anyone ( a doctor here in arizona) just listen. for one moment.
there is something goin on in my body.  and i feel like i am losing this race.
thankyoso much for the welcome!

Personally, my advice would be to see a Hepatologist/Gastrointerologist.  They pretty much cover all the AutoImmune problems, of which as you know, there are many, but when you are searching, make sure that you ask if they are familiar with AutoImmune Hepatitis (Another one of the "diseases'), which affects the liver. (Most Heps are)   What kind of testing/labs have  you had done and how long ago?  What kind of meds. are you on?  I understand your frustration - it's like once something goes wrong it just starts to snowball.

The reason that I mentioned the AIH is that if the liver is out of whack, it can be the reason for a lot of other problems.  AIH is non-viral and non-contagious, so don't panic at the word "hepatitis" -:).

Welcome to "the boards" and will ttyl.
