Leg Pain w/ POTS?

Hey, POTSies! I was wondering if any of you experienced leg pain with your POTS... I have been getting really bad pains in my legs. It's pretty much constant, worse as the day goes on, and although I feel like I ought to move my legs, moving them really offers no long-term relief. Any advice? Is this typical POTS behavior? (I'm new to this whole thing.) Any tips on combating this?

As far as I know, we have no idea what the cause of my POTS was. I don't think I have EDS, although I have heard of it. I'm not really very hyper-mobile. Or at least, I don't think so. I do get blood pooling in my legs- is that what could be causing it? If so, do you have any tips for dealing with this?

Do you know the cause of your POTS? I have EDS along with POTS, and I know many other EDS patients have POTS. My worst lower leg pain stems from my feet. Have your feet gotten flat(maybe without even knowing?). I have found my leg pain has been caused by either my feet so I taped my feet(I went to the podiatrist once and they showed me & my husband proper taping) or from inactivity due to resting or poor positions when resting.

Since you didn't give to much detail another leg issue with POTS is heaviness. When you stand too much the blood pools in your legs and feet. I tried to take fall pictures with my kids and stood too long and I felt like my legs were 500lb weights. I could not walk back to the car.

Next time you take a shower, look down at your lower legs and feet, do they look darker red or bluish? This indicates blood pooling. It is scary to see but after you lay down for a few minutes it goes away. I didn't notice how dark my feet turned until I the doctor told me to watch for this.

Lot of things don't seem to work right on us POTS people and there are many other underlying conditions that pop up. Please don't get depressed about POTS, I have had my ups and downs and life doesn't end, just a little different path we get to take (and I think it make us appreciate the little things more).
