Big Storms

How many of you have trouble with BP, syncope, etc. when there's a big storm?  I have a terrible time, and I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on it.  I can't decide whether it's the huge atmospheric pressure change or the large quantities of lightning, but something just puts me completely off balance.  I know lots of us have trouble with heat, but I've never heard anyone, including doctors, talk about major storms.  So whaddya think?

I definitely notice increase in dizziness and headaches/pressure with weather changes.  For me it isn't a storm but there is absolutely some effect from barometric pressure or something to do with weather.  My niece believes for her it is the barometric pressure.  I guess it would help if we became more aware of what is going on around us with various changes.

it's really strange isn't it?

I've noticed that that happens to my daughter. Her school nurse and teachers also have commented on it to me as well.  I did mention it at her last Cardio vist, he didn't dismiss it, but said anything with this condition is possible. We are in the middle of a heavy rain with some winds, so there is a chill, which really puts her out of wack. She's not looking to good at the moment, so we are increasing the salt & fluid in take.
You are not allow with thought.  :)

When there is a big storm the barometric pressure drops.  I don't think it is a leap of faith to think that it could affect someone with a compromised autonomic nervous system.  With that being said I don't think you will find a lot of opinions to support it.

I don't know why but for me I love it when it rains or there is a storm, for some odd reason it makes me feel safe.  My mother on the other hand gets really depressed.  He depression is kind of like a weatherman.  If she has the blues that day 9 out of 10 times it rains.  Go figure.

Affects me tremendously, and especially when it fluctuates rapidly. Having said that, I adore thunderstorms. I get ominous feeling beforehand that builds up (vivid nightmares if I'm asleep and feeling of release, security and tranquillity  as soon as it breaks. I've always putthat down to build up of +ve ions in the air beforehand and -ve ions after. Don't understand the physics or meteorology involved, though
