I am vitamin D deficient, have on/off low potassium, low ferritin, low B12 and my folic acid levels have recently rose. Funny enough.......none of these are being treated!!!!!
I had one B12 injection just before my 'crash' and was on iron and folic acid. I was diagnosed having celiac disease in may '09 so I think maybe they are seeing if a gluten free diet improves these levels now......time will tell I suppose.
Like Heiferly, I also take prescription potassium. Other vitamins/supplements I take are:
"MITO" Cocktail (recommended by one of my neurologists)
- CoQ10 30MG daily
- Acetyl-L-Carnitine 250MG 2x daily
- Vitamin B-50 Complex daily
- Vitamin C 250MG 2x daily
(up to 1000MG daily when sick)
- Vitamin E 200IU daily
I also take a chewable multivitamin when I remember, but lately I've been forgetting to take it.
By Rx:
Klor-Con M20 twice daily (for hypokalemia)
Folic Acid 4 mg once daily
OTC:
Calcium 1200 mg +D 1000 IU once daily (per endo's recommendation)
Centrum multivitamin/multimineral supplement
