CLOMID & HOT FLASHES!
Good morning ladies ;) I posted this question on another forum, but I am STILL getting HOT FLASHES & I'm 3DPO & CD15. My HOT FLASHES come & go, last less than a minute or so.
I've never been on clomid before, is this NORMAL to get hot flashes AFTER O?
I don't think I'll ever take clomid again, I had very little side effects, really just the HOT FLASHES, but I never knew FOR SURE when I O'd, which for me is WEIRD!
IF I do meds again, it will be injecebles!!!

AHHHHHH sorry about the BFN. I too got one this month;( But AF came for me ON TIME!!!!!! LITERALLY @ midnight on my CD27 LOL She really must love me!!!! lol
But I know the norm is after you take clomid, & no BFP you will USUALLY get AF several days later........but not me! Ughhhhhhhhhhh

sooo..... got my BFN.. :( still no AF though??? yet doc said blood work showed I ovulated.... anyone have a similar experience?

This was my first cycle of clomid. I went in on cd24 for bloodwork to check my progesterone levels.. I took clomid cd 3-7.. (50mgs)However, I had not had a period since April.. so we just randomly chose a day to call "day one". I used an opk and never had a second line at all until the 7th test at which time I got a second line.. but it was lighter than the control line... My doctor was the one that told me what day to come for the test.. now I go on day 32 for a pregnancy test, if I don't get Af first..... so hard to keep track of all this stuff.. but worth it in the end I hope!!
did your doc. have you come in on a specific day after taking the Clomid to confirm you ovulated? My doc just said to chart my temps and haven't asked me to come in to get any bloodwork, I wish they would.
Did they tell you if you knew what day you O'd? This is my 2nd cycle on Clomid, the 3rd day (taking days 5-9, 50 mgs) Last time I think I ovulated around day 21,... stopped testing with the OPK on day 20 so I think I missed it,.. or that's what I'm hoping.

I took Clomid this last cycle and have had horrible hot flashes- before and after ovulation. I also discovered my follicle never ruptured and turned into a large cyst. I'm getting progesterone injections to shrink the cysts and I think they attribute to the hot flashes as well.

Woohoo! I got my progesterone levels results back today to see if I Ovulated..and I DID!!! I guess the clomid seems to be working... now I just have the waiting game now to see if I will get my BFP!!!!

i got hot flashes like crazy! the odd thing is, i havent taken clomid for the past two cycles and i STILL get hot flashes!! what the heck! i wonder how long that stuff stays in your system for? but ur not crazy....i got them randomly thru the day but mainly really bad at night.
oops, I meant mt RE said a + on Thursday which was CD11, but I had my crampy ovary thingy on Tuesday & on Wednesday & thats it. Normaly I O a few hours after I don't have O pain anymore, thats why I figure I O'd on Thursday MAYBE Friday????
Yeah, I think its strange too! When I am preggo I get HOT but don't recall having them in my 2WW????
I did use OPK's which normally for me is ALWAYS spot on! But when I went in @ 10DPO I had the big 22mm follie & a few others smaller my RE said I SHOULD get a + the next day (Friday) I didn't get a + til after I triggered. Which is NOT reliable, cuz I ALWAYS get a + after a trigger (it's the HCG similar to LH)
So, we only bd'd 3x's in two days CD10 & CD11. Just didn't work out this weekend, plus hubby has had a "bug" so oh well..........
HOPEFULLY a few spermies hung around & waited ;0)
I'm guessing the clomid is why I'm having hot flashes!!!

I never got hot flashes with Clomid, but I was on the lowest dosage of 50mg. Now this cycle I did the highest dosage of Femara - and boy-oh-boy did I get hot flashes!!

And I thought how odd to get hot flashes in the TWW. The only thing I can possibly attribute it to, is if there were many eggs released and all their corpus luteums were producing progesterone, but IDK at 3DPO?
