For everyone thats got 2+ kids...

How did you feel about having your second?  I am very excited but because DH works way and I REALLY dont have any help Im so scared! Im really starting to think that Im not ready to have a second child! My son takes up so much of my time and he has really been testing me lately.(He'll be 4 in September) Sometimes he is so bad! I was actually kick out of walmart because of one of his fits! I dont know if its just because Im tired and getting close but Im so worried! And if I feel this way now does that mean Im going to have postpartum depression?
Help ladies! I dont want to be thinking this way! I really just want to be over joyed and that is so not the case!!

Hi Teddi, first off what you're feeling is absolutely normal!  I felt exactly the same when I was pregnant with my second and it's perfectly natural.  It doesn't mean you will have PPD following the birth but I would say to keep an eye on that side of things as tiredness and the drop in hormones can play havoc with your emotions.  funnily enough you find that things just fall into place as you and baby develop a routine.  Your son will need constant reassurance that he hasn't been replaced but I found that by including my eldest as much as possible (fetching nappies, bottles etc) and explaining everything I was doing with the baby really helped build bonds.  Feel free to pm me at anytime.  I had 3 children under the age of 3 at one point - and I'm still here now 16 years later,  with 4 children now and hoping for another lol :D  xx

I share your concern!  I have a 3 yr old and eventhough he is a good kid, I am nervous about juggling two!!  I'm sure the first few weeks will be hard but then everyone says you fall into a routine and it will all work out...but the key is to make sure you HAVE a routine and schedule that will work for everyone and it makes things less chaotic!  Good luck!

I was pretty nervous about this too.  When my second was born last summer, the older one dominated our attention.  He has adjusted pretty well.  When the baby was a couple months old, my son would wait until I was feeding the baby to get into trouble.  Once I noticed this, I made the adjustments and he's doing fine.  The hard part has been since the younger one can walk.  Now I have two boys going in two different directions!  I wonder what we were thinking sometimes :)
