Our Journey to December

Thought that was appropriate.  SO.....how was your weekend???  Mine was awesome.  Took 4 tests...all BFP!  The ones yesterday were really dark so that's a good sign.  No BB pain yet.  Should I be worried?  I have cramping on and off.  Yesterday, no cramps until afternoon....could be because I mowed the grass and ran the vacuum.  DH pulled the mower cord for me so all I did was walk behind it.  Exercise right?  He was busy putting breaks on my car so I didnt want to bother him with it.

Haven't told anyone except my sister.  Waiting until Mother's Day to tell my mom.  I still am very worried and in disbelief.

How about you?  Any news?  I know you have your appt. on Thursday.  You will have to tell me how it goes.  I know you will see a healthy little bean in there!  I just have a good feeling about all of this.  There is a reason we met.

I am glad the clumsiness is normal and all preggy women experience it.  I am afraid to touch anything for fear I might ruin or break it.

I got a nice treat today.  There was a water main break at my school so they canceled school today for kids and teachers.  Nice relaxing day now.  Happy thought of the day.....Tomorrow is Friday.  Weekend is almost hear again.  Jason and I were just talking about how many more weeks we have to get things together and when you put it into weekends their are not many left.  Fewer for you!  We figured I have about 15 weekends left to prepare then we subtracted all of the weekends we already have other commitments and it turns out we only have about 8 more weekends to prepare the nursery and get ourselves prepared for the little one.  The third trimester will fly I think...especially with holidays coming and Jason's birthday is this month and my brother, sister, nieces, grandma, sister-in-law, and me all have birthdays in October so all the weekends in October are packed.

What crib did you end up buying?  Jason is insisting on the Larkin Collection by Pottery Barn.  The crib is $800 and I thought that was just too pricey.  He is going to make the dresser and changing table so we wont have that expense.  I love that he is a woodworker.  I cant decide on a glider either.  I need to sit in them and half of the stores don't carry but a couple to try out.  I want to sit in them you know.

I finally finished my registries today.  It took forever because I check the consumer reports for everything.  That is how I picked the stroller and car seat.  I just can't wait to pick a day for the shower.  I think then it will feel like it is coming soon.

Try to enjoy your day.  Remember...only do as much work as you can...you must use some of your energy growing that little bean.

Oh girl!! I feel you on the clumsiness, I can't hold anything but have yet to break anything lol! Glad your computer is getting taken care of, that would s*ck to have to buy a new one! Who's wine did you break??

Least yall are getting stuff done and got to spend the weekend together, Cain hunted on Saturday (first saturday off in months) and again on Monday...this is his first three day weekend in like 3 years!!!! And he didn't spend it with me??? Oh well... I think my shower is going to be next month so I really have to register too!! I totally understand needing a weekend from your weekend...I would perfer a week off lol!!

Glad your weight gain is normal...I think it's normal to gain a pound a week or something during this time! Can't believe you're going to be joining me in the every two week thing now!! Oddly enough it's kinda exciting! I am going to try and get all my appts for the afternoon so I can take half days off, that way it's still only one day a month! Is it the orange kind? Like I said, I thought I would hate it but a "rare" few ppl actually like it and I'm one of them!

I bet it is nice to know...also really nice for you being a teacher that you'll already be off for the holiday for what two-three weeks? Plus maternity leave...girl you are racking up!! The week after Christmas...seems so far away but I hear time is supposed to fly during this last trimester!! I sure hope so, I can't wait to meet Olivia!

Well, our crib should be here this week! Other than that nothing really new except that Olivia doesn't seem to have a schedule, somedays she's active other days she's not and I freak out...like yesterday lol! WHat about you? Anything new over there? Funny, I thought toward the end we'd get some new symptoms or something different would happen...there's still time for that though lol!! Yeah, I figured when they got here we would be so happy and tired and just want to spend all our time getting to know the little parasites that have been living in us the past couple of months lol! Well take care of yourself and try not to drop anything lol!

Hey girlie...how was your three day weekend?  Mine was so busy, but first listen to my Friday....I was leaving work and putting my laptop in my bag...like I always due and I dropped it right on the floor.  It shattered!  So of course...I start crying (pregnancy hormones at their best).  I call the tech thinking I am going to have to pay for a brand new apple computer....yikes!  I guess he felt bad for me cuz he said he would take care of it.....then I go home.  So I am cleaning up the kitchen and I put a wine glass (not mine) in the dishwasher only to shatter that...then I dropped a wine bottle (again not mine) on the ground and that shatters.  What a night!  I guess that pregnancy clumsiness is true.

THe rest of the weekend was spent with Jason.  We shopped til we dropped literally.  We finished both of our registries (Pottery barn and babies r us) then went and bought a new computer since ours is on its last leg and then we had my moms b day party on Monday.  I think I need a weekend from the weekend if you know what I mean.

I had a doctors appt. this morning.  Everything is good.  Gained 4 more lbs this month but doc doesn't seem concerned.  He said that is normal weight gain at this time.  I am my last monthly visit on October 8th then I move to the every two week schedule like you.  I don't know how I will swing that with work but I don't care.  I got my script for that test that makes you drink the gross stuff.  Yippee!

Doctor also said he is willing to induce me on my due date if I really want to get this baby out before the new year.  I was so happy to hear that.  He said he doesn't believe in making women just hold out after their due date.  So it looks like I will definitely have the baby the week after Christmas if not sooner.  It is nice to know he will do that if we choose.

Anything new on your end?  I dont have a computer at work for a few days now so I will have to get on at night to write.  Hopefully soon I will get back on a good schedule...probably right around the time you will be having the baby.  Dont worry I dont expect to talk to you much in the month of December.  I am sure it will be the same for me in January.

I was surprised they gave me the results right then, I thought I would have to wait lol!! I know we are definatley in this together now...although if Olivia wanted to come at 38 weeks it wouldn't be so bad lol!! I'd have more of a Thanksgiving baby then! Yeah, definatley not the beginning for us, we have been through to much to think of it that way! I kinda got a weird thing going on, I feel like I just want to have Olivia so I can see her and not worry about anything happening to her but I don't want to have her now!! What's up with that? I just keep telling myself I only have 13 weeks to go but it feels like forever...I would just feel safer if it were already December and she were here.

I'm glad everyone is telling you its all baby...and I dont doubt that for a minute...did you show them your butt? Just kidding don't shoot me lol!! I have a butt now too!! I do look like I'm all baby and I've noticed ppl starting to stare at my stomach so I'm either really showing or their trying to figure out if I am lol!

I'm glad you decided to go to the show, every little bit you save helps in the long run! A lot of our family has bought Olivia 6-9 month old clothing but yeah, most ppl just buy you the newborn things because those are the "cute" clothes! It has gotten cold here in December but it has also been warm enough to wear shorts...and that can happen in a week lol!! So unpredicatable lol!

I am so sorry for last night, as far as the leg cramps I get them all the time too, my book says its normal but what you can do is flex your ankle - like point your toes to your face and it should go away asap!! Hope that helps...shame on Jason, he could have at least gotten up with the dog or gave you a hug!!! I know about rough nights and IDIOT husbands...Olivia decided to sleep for awhile yesterday...I didn't feel her more than a handfull of times in like 6 hours...and I was freaking out, Cain on the other hand wasn't the least bit bothered!! I went to bed at like 11:00 and she still hadn't really moved much and while I was waiting to see if she would move I feel asleep. At 2:36 this morning she moved around about 25-30 times in just a few minutes though lol and has been active all day so maybe she's just getting into her "groove" and is going to sleep more at night than during the day...least I can hope lol! Sometimes I hate that Cain doesn't worry too...sometimes I would just like for him to take some of that worry off of me!

Yes three-day weekend!!!!!!!!! Hope you enjoy you weekend!! I have yet to register lol! But we did get LivyLynn's room painted - it's like easter egg green it's so bright but it kind grows on you and with the dark furniture that should be here next week, I think it's going to look so good!! I am going to stay home and read a book, watch movies and do absolutly nothing...I figure once the baby is here I won't be able to do that so I'd better do it now lol!! Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Tuesday!

That's really cool that they give you the results of the test so quickly.  I knew you would be fine.  Remember....we are in this together until the end this time....and the end is 40 weeks.  Some would say that is just the beginning...but after what we went through...I feel like once I give birth a huge hurdle has been jumped.

I am glad you are gaining wait.  Everyone at work tells me I look so small for how far along I am.  THey tell me I am all belly....I guess that is good to hear.  There is definitely no doubt that I am pregnant...even to strangers....I bet you are the same way now that you have put on some lbs.  6 1/2 lbs. in 2 weeks....you are definitely catching up for lost time.  I bet you are all baby too!

I decided to go to the show and stock up on some great deals.  I am going to buy lots of clothes for when he gets older...I figure people will buy me mostly newborn to 3 months stuff so I am going to by some summer clothes for next year and some winter clothes for next year.  I will have to take my little one home in a snowsuit this year....how cold are your Decembers?

Oh girl....I have to tell you....last night...3 in the morning....balling my eyes out.  My legs and feet were cramping sooo badly I was miserable....jason stole all the covers....the dog needed to go out to pee(never happens) and jason wouldnt get up so I had to with my sore feet and legs....when I finally got back in bed....the flood gates opened and the tears were a pouring...I would have never let that bother me but I guess the pregnancy thing is kicking in.  I am so uncomfortable in our bed at night and my allergies are horrendous right now.  All of that made me crazy at 3am.  A girl at work said I could be low in iron so she told me to talk to my doc. about it and they may put me on something.  They claim some women get anemic during pregnancy and that might be why I am having trouble.  Who knows....Jason didnt know what to do so he did what any man would do....he fell asleep!

O well.....Three day weekend here we come!!!!  Enjoy....enjoy....enjoy.!  Jason and I are finishing up our registries so that will be fun for me.  We are also cleaning out the nursery so it can be painted hopefully soon.  What are your plans?

Hey, I've been thinking about you too - gotta admit we're kinda creepy lol!! I spent MOnday night in labor and delivery - was having stomach and back pains and they just wanted to check me out - all is fine though and it's prolly just my ligaments as far as my back goes, I've gained 6 1/2 lbs in 2 weeks!! So that probably factored into the pain, my doc checked my cervix yesterday and it's nice and closed and nice and thick - her words lol! The drink wasn't that bad - it was the orange one and I would suggest going with that one if they give you a choice! I don't have gestational diabetes! Cool that they can tell you the same day and you dont have to wait!

I hope he's not that big either lol!!

I think you should go to the show, think about it like this, Jake will grow out of this stuff so fast why spend alot of money now when you can save or put up the money for something really awesome for him later!

I know, but I don't want to expose LivyLynn to too many ultrasounds, they say its not proven to be harmfull, but I don't want to risk anything...plus they do them for free for me and I dont want to abuse that lol!! Cain was around 8lbs and I was 7lbs 11oz - but I think she might end up being big...least I know she's putting on some good weight! I worry about that too! All my reasearch states that after 29-30 weeks a baby has just as good a shot at surviving as a full term baby! So that eases my fears a little!

I dont sleep good either, can't get comfy lol!! They say not to freak out if you wake up on your back b/c your body prolly woke you up to tell you to switch positions! I wouldn't worry about not being able to hear his heart, I think it would be harder through a stethescope. I dont have stretch marks either!! Hopefully we wont get them but I wouldn't count on it lol!

My doc appt went great, I am going every two weeks now so I will be off some half days! I can't believe one week from Friday I will be in the third Trimester!! We got Olivia's room painted yesterday, now we just have to do the trim and the second coat...I liked to have died when I saw her room...it's way brighter than I thought it was going to be lol! But it looks really cheery! Well, hope you had a good day yesterday and another today b/c girl we gotta three-day weekend coming up and I can't wait lol!
