what do you swim in when preggers?

just wondering as im having trouble finding pregnancy boardshorts.

also, where are you all form? Im living in America and but form New Zealand. I remember so many more girls in NZ wearing longer boardshorts than i see here in the US. I only find longer boardshorts in surfy shops here, but I dont want to pay more just for a label, AND, they aren't maternity!!!!

If you go to Target.com they have swim suits that are two piece - a tankini top and shorts as bottoms in their maternity section.  They come in black and red.  I just ordered a takini top that has a sports bra back for extra support.  I absolutely love it!  If you are large chested its perfect.  I can run around with my nieces and nephew without falling out!

i havent been PG b4 but i know if i was i would wear a coverup dress! i would just keep wearing my normal swimsuit (maybe a 1 piece) and my dress they are cute and they are loose so theres plenty of room for baby to grow! My (X) Sister in law did this and i thought it was great!

you should get a cutecover up over your swimsuit. When you get in the water just set it with your towel. Nobody can see your legs in the water. Plus, my personal opinion is long boardshorts bring a lot more attention to legs than a swimsuit...It not only makes legs look bigger with the added fabric it shows your trying to hide something. You have to love your body and rock whatever you've got! good luck!

I'm just wearing my bikini!! I never even considered shorts, although when I get really big I guess I'll wear a one piece!

I just went online to motherhood.com and viewed all of their bathing suits.  At the bottom of the page they have some shorts that look like that could work for you if you put them over one of the one piece suits.  They look like board shorts.  Check it out.

Dana, I cant find maternity boardshorts even online. long ones or short ones!

cocacolapanda, boardshorts are like what the guys swim in but you can get female ones that are cut different. short ones like boxers, or knee length ones.

Togs = bathing suit.

I personally am very self-conscious of my legs right now and would like a nice feminine pair of longer maternity board shorts to wear.

My sister gave me a cute suit she got at Peas in a Pod.  It it a one piece and the top part has a flowy top that goes down over the belly and butt.  It looks very youthful.  I dont look like I have an old lady suit on with a skirt.

I'm not really sure what you'r termonaligy is so I didn't vote, but what I do is I fit some of my swim suit bikini shorts/bottoms so I'll wear those, then I'll wear a tank top for the top part.

When I didn't have swim bottoms that fit I actually just bought a pair of womens boxers (where the hole is sewn up, or sew it up yourself.  Then wear a tank top with boob support.

That's a tough one,  I found a two piece tank suit from Motherhood Maternity that was not too expensive and looks decent on me...I'm not sure if I've seen maternity boardshorts anywhere...
