I basically do the same thing. My thermometer saves my morning temp, so after I really get up for the morning I just write it down on a little calendar that I have. Then when I really have time I plug it into my trackers. I don't chart it by hand on a graph, though.
As far as OPK's go, it all depends. If you are having a difficult time pinpointing O, then I would probably suggest starting after AF ends, espeically if you have the strips to do it.
The longest a luteal phase is, is 16 days. So if you take a 30 day cycle minus 16, then the soonest you would O is CD14. The average luteal phase is 14 days and the shortest is typically 10 (anything shy of that and you could have an LP defect). So, IMHO, if you started testing CD10 through CD20 you should catch your surge.
Thanks guys! Yes I'm tracking here too. Sometimes I can't update it everyday but so far so good.
I'm not a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, rise & shiner, so when my alarm goes off, I take my temp then my pre-natals, fish oil & rhodiola. I have my clipboard by the bed with super-sharp pencils so I can chart my temp & then notate the double decimals in one of those teensy-tiny extra squares!
Do you guys do ov predictor strips too. My left-over 7 day kit has me starting on CD10 (30day cycle) but my new box of 20 strips has me starting right after AF ends (tomorrow).
What do you suggest?
Fugitive
Have you tried the MedHelp tracker? It let's you chart 2 decimal points out. If you need any help with it, just let me know.
LOL...it's true..I also bought the pretty purple one. But they have online sites like this one that will let you record to the hundreth and also I think ******************* though I have not tried that one myself. Are you recording it on Medhelp??
