Is it AF?

Morning Ladies.  I'm a bit confused/worried this morning.  I had my D&C on Monday and the bleeding had stopped by Tuesday evening.  I had barely noticeable tinge on the Weds but nothing Thurs, Fri or Sat.  Last night I had quite bad cramping and this morning I've woken up to blood.  Is this still bleeding from the D&C or could it be my AF.  Also worried in case it's an infection.  What is everyone's thoughts/experiences?  Thanks xx

Thanks girls.  Its now like an end of an AF, cramping eased off.  No clots.  I'm seeing my GP on Weds for a check up so shall mention it to her.  Feel horrid today, headache all day and so so tired but think I overdid it yesterday and didn't sleep well last night.  Hanging on to the thought that I'm definitely feeling better than I did this time last week.

I had a similar thing as well.  I had the D&C, and with in 24 hours I was done spotting, then a little over a week I started bleeding like a regular cycle.  There were no blood clots and was just like my cycle, the dr said it could have been my period but I didn't ovulate.  Several others on her have said it most likely was not a period, so I don't know.  I also didn't have in infection or any pain.

I'd say that if the cramping gets too bad or lasts too long to give your dr a call, maybe they'll want to do an ultrasound to make sure they got everything.

It does get better, the first two weeks are the hardest, it does get better.  I hope your feeling better soon, and I'm very sorry for your loss!

Bernie: I also had very little spotting initiall after the d&c and then on and off I would have some bleeding and pain for about two weeks after the procedure.  Is the blood "clot" like?  I ended up going back to the dr. because I was concerned also and they did an u/s and found that I had some old blood clots that weren't being expelled.  Thats why I was getting the bleeding on and off.  But there was no infection.  They gave me a med. to stop the bleeding and from then on I was fine.  I wouldn't worry about infection too much unless you notice fever, severe pain and a heavy flow of bleeding (like needing to change a pad more than once in an hour) But, of course, giving your dr. a call is not a bad idea when in doubt.  Take care, sweetie....it WILL get better.....
