TTC after miscarriage

Hello I am 37 with 3 children the youngest being 13 in July.....I found out in March I was pregnant only to miscarry April 13th at 7 weeks but the baby only measured 6 weeks and 4 days...

I have never kept track of my cycles or cm and i sure dont know how to track my ovulation...I started my cyle on May 13th it was kind of weird a bled heavy for 2 days then i stopped for 1 day then bled heavy for another day and stopped then I spotted for like 3 days (sorry if TMI)

I started cramping around the 20th which i believe is cd8? and I "think" this was ovualtion cramping? My breasts have been sore since about the 22nd...my DH and I BD twice on the 21st and once on the 22nd...

according to what I have read i should have ovulated on the 27th me and the DH did BD last night...
this morning I bought the OPK but I didnt get a surge detection so I am worried that I may have ovulated early and missed my window...

My DH works out of town and is usually only home on the weekends so I do know that getting my BFP is going to be a challenge...

any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Hi Lori
I had a natural miscarriage...on the 24th my doctor called me in for a blood test which came back that my levels are at 0 well the said negative so im assuming that is what they meant
i believe my cycles are 28-31 days but I wont know for sure unless I get AF in June which I am praying I do not... ::)

Im going to try another ovulation test later this evening to see..cause i do see that sometimes they work better later in the after noon....

If I go by when I got pregant before my last period was Feb 18th which means I go pregnant around the 3rd or 4th of march which puts me right at the 14cd? so if my cycles are back to normal which i think they are and if i use the first day i started bleeding with my miscarriage which is what i have heard to do....my cycle was 31 days so going by that I should ovulate on the 30th now that I actually look at it....

this is all so confusing but since i got pregnant on the 14th cd last time that whats im using now to calculate...

thanks for your response...

Hi! Welcome to the group! I'm sorry for your loss. Did you have a natural m/c or D&C?? Have they checked your hcg levels to make sure they're down to below 5? The first cycle to several cycles can be a little strange after a m/c, some women O following and some it takes a while. It's very hard to say. I just went through the same thing, I had my post m/c appointment on Wednesday and asked him the same questions. I believe I O'd 14 days from the m/c but he told me because my hcg was at 12 I probably wouldn't get pg, but it wasn't impossible(makes no sense to me!) Ovulation is kinda hard to track unless you use certain methods(which I don't). How long are your cycles? Wish I could be of more help.

Lori
