PINCHING in right side?

So I am about 5 weeks pregnant and last night I just got this pinching feeling in the lower right side of my abdomine (like right where my "bikini" line is if you catch my drift) it was literally like someone was pinching me and it happened a few times and then I went to bed and when I woke up this morning its still happening, it's not painfull at all, it just happens maybe a few times an hour. It also happened 2times on the left side, but not as bad as the right. I am still having the usual cramps around the cervix (middle of abdomine) as usual. Can anyone tell me if they've ever had this?

That does help, I didn't have any cramping at ALL with my previous m/c's, so cramping for me is kinda reassuring, I just have never had this type before, but then again I have never had a sucessfull pg before either.

The doc. was supposed to call with an appt date on thurs and didn't so I will be calling them on Monday and getting that taken care of!!
btw I havent cramped on the right side since then, but have some on the left so I don't feel like it would be tubal or anything since it switched sides like that

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE HELP!!

if it helps ... I had cramping with both successful pregnancies, as well as this one.  It is much worse so far with this one.  I had absolutely no cramping with the miscarriage until the bleeding started.  So cramping is not necessarily a bad sign.

With the last successful pregnancy I actually cramped for the first few months, then went strait into braxton hicks.  I just know this one will be the same, just more intense...

It does sound a little high for implantation, so maybe ligaments?... you'll feel better after your ultrasound.  Do you have it scheduled yet?

My pain is around the bikini line and hip area, but haven't had it in a while, I have dull cramps everytime I get pg (2 m/c's and had them the entire time those pgs lasted) so right now I have both pains but short sharp pain is closer to bikini and hip whereas dull cramping is in uterus area!! wth??? LOL maybe I am just defective!! I am happy to be having some pain though as this has not happened in either of my other pgs and it's nice to think that maybe this one will make it now!!

I think I have had round ligiment pains already, although it's awfully early for that, not usual until the 2nd trimester!  It's been 8 years since I was pregnant with my daughter (m/c didn't get far enough for this) ... so I'm not sure if my memory is right and I know what I'm experiencing.

For me:
implantation pinching is sharp and quick.  Can be just annoying, can also be a quick stab that is actually painful, but gone quickly.

round ligament pain is more dull and aching, although I've read that it can also be sharp and quick if you make a sudden movement or change positions.  I had alot of this about a week ago, but it only lasted a couple of days and then went away.  Maybe my uterus had a growth spurt!  lol  For me, this is much more painful then the other.  I find myself pushing against the spot where the pain is.  Sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn't.  I also took tylenol for the pain.  Right now it is really low on the bikini line, but if I remember correctly it travels up the binkini line to your hips as all the ligaments stretch.  Good times I know!

I think I'm going through the round ligament pain. I had that same pinching pain when I was around your stage as well, and thats what I was wondering was twins. I'm starting to get the same pains, but they hurt more now, usually it happens if I stretch my legs the wrong way when I'm falling asleep. I had an u/s yesterday and one when I was 7 weeks. The baby is still in there with a HB so everything is fine.

Yep ... have experienced the round ligament pain as well, although it's definitely different and more painful.

Why does so much have to hurt?  It definitely gets worse the older you get and with each subsequent pregnancy...

THANKS, most of the research I did said pretty much the same, but I wanted to check anyway...right after I posted my question my left side started pinching too lol!! I also read that as long as it doesn't hurt when I move, sneeze or cough (and don't start bleeding or becomes painfull) then it was probably normal and could even be ligaments stretching and I have had a cough for a few weeks and I sneezed several times today and it doesn't hurt during those times so I guess I'm okay. You put my mind at ease!!!!!!!

I have had pinching with all of mine, including the miscarriage.  It was much worse with this pregnancy then any of the others.  I believe you are feeling implantation.  Mine was definetely the worst during week five this time, then seemed to go away.  It was actually painful for me.

Mine also happened a little on the right, which scared me at first ... because I thought it was implantation and feared twins.  But it was nowhere near as bad as the left ... and I'm now 9 weeks with two ultrasounds under my belt and I'm definetely only having one!

Unless you start spotting or it becomes painful, don't worry ... most likely that baby is just really burrowing in good!
