Thick uterine lining?

Updates: Its been a while since my last post so I thought about dropping by to let everyone know where I've been and where I stand. For the past couple days, I've been injecting Gonal-F 112.5IU and so far so good. Today is CD11 for me. I met with RE today to check on my follicles and the biggest size was 16 mm on my right ovary. We also found some small size on my left ovary 11 mm, 12 mm and 13 mm.  RE also checked my uterus lining and it was 13 mm, WOW! I've never seen it at that size. I actually got pregnant at 10 mm my last cycle and ended with a MC at 15 weeks. My only concern is that, if the lining is above 15 mm or gets any thicker , it may interfere with the implantation. Has anyone encounter such a scenario like this? I'm going back on Friday to check on my follicles, We should be ready for IUI this weekend. Any info would really help. Thank you so much in advanced.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! RE didn't mentioned anything about my lining. Most RE would like to see the lining be in between 8mm-13mm around ovulation time. As I read from online research, the uterine lining grows anywhere from 1-2mm every other day so I'm scheduled to do IUI this weekend. Hopefully by then, my lining is perfect for implantation. I'll be sure to talk to my RE regarding the lining. tomorrow. Thanks so much!

from what ive read so far it seems high estrogen can make the uterine lining thick. which if interesting seen i just went to the NP thinking mine was high because my BBs are constantly sore and high estrogen will case that problem. she said even if my estrogen is high the only thing that will fix it is going on BC... not what i want to hear when TTC right!!!!!

but in your case.. im not sure about the fertility meds you are taking but I do know that  clomid can make the lining thin... im guessing other fertility meds would have that affect as well.. which is obviously opposite you what your experiencing.

I would get more info from your RE on Friday when you go back to check your follies.

I pray that everything works out and your treatment is successful!!!!! sending lots of baby dust your way!!!!

Im not sure i can help with your question, its more just telling you of my experience with a thick lining. but i have been for two US in the past, right after AF, when i would have thought my lining would be thinner, but it was noticibly thick even for me to see it. one Dr didnt say anything when i questioned it but the NP i went to said something about it as soon as she sore it.

i didnt really get any answers as to why it was so thick some months and not others. she didnt mention to me anything about the possibility that it would affect implantation either.

after the laperoscopy one of the things they found wrong was my cervix had a lot of scar tissue on it and was nearly closed tight... so the swimmers would have had a hard time even getting past my cervix i presume. I wonder if in my case it affected the flow of AF as well.

did your RE say why it could be so thick?

this is good to know and something that ill talk with my new OB/GYN or RE when i get to Vegas.
