painful during intercourse and after

I had a natural miscarriage last friday. The bleeding stopped about 3 days ago and last night I attempted to have sex. It was painful and now it feels like my whole lower abdomen is sore.. Is this normal? Could it be an infection?

I remember having sex the first time after my m/c.  I had a d&c so we had to wait 2 weeks, which we did, but I remember it being uncomfortable during and after also.  I think you should be okay but if the pain lasts or gets worse it wouldn't hurt to call your Dr.
