Are my Harrington rods affecting my breathing?

I’m 40 years old and have Harrington Rods in my back, L2-L5. My chiropractor adjusts me above my rods and this really helps me breath better. Apparently the vertebrae above my rods tend to fall into my diaphragm making it difficult to breath a lot of the time. This is become more frequent & making me very nervous. Doctors don’t believe this is the issue and want to throw Pills at me for anxiety etc when I know it’s not that! It’s physical and I know it. Does anyone else suffer with something similar???
