Back, Neck, and Head pain

My son, age 37, has severe back, neck, and head pain.  He has had numerous tests, the shots, etc.  There is a lot of muscle loss in his left arm.  The EMG test indicates it is not a nerve problem.  One Dr said c1,2 are problematic, as well as c5,6,7.  The neurologist visit yesterday was of no help.  He said, his best suggestion is to try the shots again..  I think he needs to see a second neurologist.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Has your son sought chiropractic care? I personally have found them to quickly get to the root issue, and then develop a safe resolution to my issues. I wish your son well, this kind of pain is no one's friend!! *hugs* p.s....look up "upper cross syndrome", might find some revelance there. Take care.

Hi there!
Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include postural issues, neuro-muscular causes such as muscle sprain, nerve impingement, injuries to muscles/ ligaments etc inflammations, fractures/ dislocations, referred pain from other regions, micronutrient deficiencies etc. Without a definite diagnosis at hand, it would be difficult to suggest a management plan. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a neurologist/ orthopedician specializing in spine, and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
