Back and Neck and numbing of the hands

I have been suffering since I was 16 yrs old., now I am 25 yr. old.  I started out with bulging disc in the L2, L3,L4, and L5-S1.  over time with meds and pt and a few weeks of bed rest, The disc healed.  But there was already nerve damage, then back in 2004 I reinjured myself  with 3 ruptured disc, I recieved injections and then had surgery nothing has helped, I went back for more injections but the made the pain unbearable, I finally found out that they will not do surgery again because I have too much scar tissue and the fact that there is too much nerve damage so it would not help the pain. Now my neck gives me problems, pain, shoulder pain, headaches, and my hands go numb.  I have taken so many meds. and it seems that they work for a week or two but then nothing helps the pain.  Can any one give any suggestions on what I could ask my doctor, I am so tired of being in pain, and nothing seems to help.  I am getting tired of trying.

Thanks for the advice, I talked to my doctor before about seeing a chiropractor, and for some reason he said that it would be very risky for them to do any type of adjustment.  or something like that.
