I would go to a chiropractor and see if your back is out of place. If your back is out it would explain the pain. It can be very painful especially if you have a nerve that is getting pinched. It also sounds like you are very active this combined with a new mattress could be causing your problem. Could it be possible for you to get a mattress topper. I got a memory foam topper and absolutely love it. I have problems keeping my back in place and it has helped a lot. Try to take ibuprofen and see if it helps. Since you are in cheer you probably are pulling muscles and the new mattress just aggravated it causing inflammation in your muscles and joints so it should help some. Hope you are pain free soon!

I agree with bigsissie to get a MRI or see a chiropractor. If you see a chiropractor, research that they are good. (I had a friend's back hurt worse after the chiro)

Do you sleep on your side? I have to sleep with a pillow between my knees or with a big body pillow or my back hurts when sleeping.  Hope that helps.

when i was in cheer and my back started hurting me the next morning, but it could of been my matress because also it was also that night when i got a new matress. it's my lower back, but my upper. The rest of my body dosen't hurt it's just my back... There's no numbness or tingling it just hurts. I don't take any medication.

Do you have any numbness or tingling along with the pain? Where is the pain at and does it effect your legs, arms, ect? What area are you having problems with low back, middle or upper? I think we need more info before anyone can help so list all the problems you are having including any over the counter medications your are taking ex ibuprofen, Naproxin, tylenol that help. You could have a pinched nerve that would just require a chiropractic adjustment or it could be something else that would require a mri but need more info to actually be helpful.
