Chronic pain w/ potential injury

I am a 32 y/o male w/ Cerebral Palsy, and Mental Retardation.

My spastic CP causes chronic musculoskeletal pain. Last August I was out adventuring and I noted severe acute pain right S.I. With physical presentation. Spoke w/ chiropractor. Confirmed right SI restriction (more so than left). X-ray unremarkable. No disc degeneration, vertebral bodies intact etc. No MRI as of yet. No improvement w/ PT. Chiro suggests muscular issues current treatment includes F&D, LS pain constant/chronic.

PM&R physician diff diagnosis LS muscle strain, no further testing.

Presents as severe pain after more than 10 minutes sitting in a particular position. Limits sleep to 2 hour intervals (total sleep 3-5 hours w/ no ill effects aside from prev mentioned pain).

Suggestions welcomed.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Chronic pain or pain coming due to one position can be due to spasticity of muscles. The more spastic the muscles are, the higher is the pain. If physical therapy is not helping, then please try and find out whether you are doing the right combination of stretches and strengthening exercises. Other than this you need pain relief medications and probably some muscle relaxants. Massage therapy and hydrotherapy too should be of some help. Do discuss this with your doctor. Take care!
